We consist of a highly experienced, diverse group of people with strong marine backgrounds – in Marine Insurance broking, underwriting and adjusting, shipmanagement and maritime law – and we provide support for our clients at every stage of the insurance process ensuring an efficient and thorough service.

Headquartered in Hong Kong, with offices in London, Sydney, Melbourne, Beijing and Taipei, we follow a straightforward, open style of business with an emphasis on stable, long-term working relationships.

Philip Bilney

Philip Bilney

Group Chief Executive

Philip has over three decades of experience in marine insurance, during which time he has particularly focused on the fields of cargo insurance and reinsurance.  He began his career as a broker in Lloyd’s before moving to Asia in 1990, where he has remained ever since. Philip is a frequent writer and speaker on marine insurance, and regularly undertakes consultation and expert witness work in the field of marine insurance broking.

Chief Executive, London Operations

Charles has over 30 years’ experience as a marine insurance broker in London, Singapore and Hong Kong and was one of the founding members of the company. Charles’ main focus has been to provide hull and machinery, protection & indemnity and marine liability solutions to clients throughout the Asia Pacific region. With the opening of the company’s London office in 2003, his time now also includes developing the company’s European and London market interests.

Dennis Tang

Dennis joined FP Marine Risks in June 1998 having formerly been Marine Manager for a large broking house in Hong Kong. His marine insurance career spans well over 30 years and includes underwriting, average adjusting and broking.  Dennis is a leading figure in the marine markets of Hong Kong and Taiwan and a respected authority on all forms of facultative marine reinsurance. Dennis is a Chartered Insurance Broker of the Chartered Insurance Institute, UK.

Andrew Brooker

Director

Andrew joined FP Marine Risks in July 2004, having been Head of Marine Claims in Asia with a multi-national broking house. Throughout the 1990s he gained valuable claims handling experience with WK Webster and Sinclair Roche and Temperley, London.  Andrew heads the company’s Shipping team which handles the placement of hull, P&I and liabilities accounts in Asia.

Ken Littlejohn

Director, Head of Claims and Legal

Ken joined the company in July 2012. He read law both in his native Scotland and in England, and worked in international road freight forwarding, before embarking on his P&I career with Tindall Riley & Co, managers of the blue-chip Britannia P&I Club, the second largest of the mutual P&I Clubs. He later moved to The Swedish Club’s office in London, since closed, which handled the Club’s Freight, Demurrage & Defence claims. In 2003, he transferred to their Hong Kong office where he worked as Claims Director.

Peter started with FP Marine Risks in December 2004. He has been broking in the London Market since 1977 with a number of well regarded Lloyd’s Brokers, and brings a wealth of London Market Cargo Broking expertise to the company.

Wang Wei

Director

Wei joined the company in early 2003 having previously worked as a reinsurance broker for an international broker in Singapore. He previously worked in the Greater China trading industry. Heading up the Beijing office, Wei is responsible for managing and expanding FP Marine Risks’ Greater China business, with a particular focus on cargo risks.
